(Hospital) Remote Chronic Disease Management

Michael Wee, 75, was hospitalized at Hospital Medicare, due to severe cervical canal stenosis. He had undergone cervical laminectomy few months ago. He had minimal recovery with improvements on his right hand. To free up beds for patients that truly require full acute services, after discussing his family, Hospital Medicare decided to offer him remote chronic disease management health services by using VandaCare. As a result, doctors will not have to delay surgery for those needing immediate care. Indirectly, remote disease monitoring is also a mean to mitigate the need for additional nurses or bed counts.
